I had a cordless xiaomi vacuum cleaner light for 3 years but the battery died, and it was not replaceable. And I was looking for a replacement for it. Initially I was about to get the Dyson V8 and then I saw Corvan, which didn't had many reviews but it's a malaysian brand, with a great warranty coverage, good looks and decent price - so I jumped on it and glad I did that! It was the best cordless vacuum cleaner at it's price range by far.
The removable battery allowed me to not lug part of the unit and charge it, but if you want to see the exact percentage while charging you can plug it into the main unit - not an issue. There are many key features I really like (have been using it for 3 weeks now):
- Removable & user replaceable battery of course
- All accessories come in the box but more importantly - it has a stand for the accessories! I've not seen a cordless vacuum that comes with the kind of stand that it does as the K9 Luxe or even some of their other series and Corvan did a fantastic job in including this! My only gripe is the holder entry to the vacuum can be easily knocked over, so it would have been great if it's a little tighter so that kids (or yourself) wouldn't accidentally knocked it and the vacuum would come crashing down the floor
- It has a very bright light on the main head motor unit, which allows me to see in dark places and even in good lighting - it helps a lot to spot those tiny dusts that you might not be able to easily see - more vacuum cleaners need to have this and especially at this price point!
- The unit itself is very easy to clean, no issues so far - really love the one push of a button to release the dust/garbage into the bin! much easier than my previous xiaomi!
- The hepa filter at the back is a godsend, and it doesnt even blow hot air unlike most vacuums and more importantly - it's clean air !
- Battery life if you go by auto - depending on which level it automatically switches to, can be bad - I believe it is rated at 15 minutes at max level, 25 minutes at medium and 55 minutes at low. Actually at low setting it should be sufficient for most common areas vacuuming and I only switch to medium when I need more power in areas that I need more suction power or even high at certain times but in short bursts to maintain the battery
- Comparing the battery life to my previous xiaomi vacuum cleaner light, this is miles better in terms of suction power at 181AW at max setting. The xiaomi only did about 50AW at max setting and can only last about 20-30 minutes...so being able to last at 25 minutes for even half of that (assuming around 80-90AW linear division), it's still much more powerful in terms of suction power than the xiaomi
- The overall design has a premium look to it - with it's red and dark green accents - very nice colors compared to the previous K9 Pro model (white)
Overall very very satisfied with the unit, although I hope corvan can quickly restock their accessories especially the K9 Luxe battery pack - it seems some of their accessories are frequently sold out, and really needs to be restocked at a faster rate (and at much higher quantities so that they don't run out of stock so easily).
Keep up the good work and I'm glad to be supporting such a wonderful Malaysian brand that I believe is taking the "fight" to the bigger brands like Dyson!
